4th Annual Wintzell's Golf Classic Set for June 18th Friday, May 14, 2010Wintzell's Oyster House is the oldest continuous sponsor of America's Junior Miss having been a supporter of the organization for over 50 years. Owners Bob and Buffy Donlon decided to start the Wintzell's Golf Classic in 2007 to further support the AJM Scholarship Program.
America's Junior Miss was founded in 1958 and is headquartered in Mobile, Alabama. In addition to cash scholarships, Junior Miss participants from all 50 states are eligible for college- granted scholarships from nearly 200 colleges and universities. The mission is to empower outstanding high school women by providing scholarship opportunities, developing life skills, and encouraging positive values; and to impact the lives of all young people through the "Be Your Best Self" program.
The 50 state Junior Misses will arrive in Mobile on Sunday, June 13 and their performances will take place June 24-26. Your sponsorship of this event will ultimately contribute to the overall goals of the AJM Scholarship Program that will award $150,000 in cash scholarships this June, and in 2010 alone, that number will grow to more than $30 million in cash and college scholarships from the contributing colleges.
